Security & privacy

Your data is there to run the app — not to sell.

Esender makes money from products, not attention. Here's what that means for your data, how we help keep your account safe, and how to reach us about privacy or security.

Our privacy commitments

Four promises that apply to every Esender app.

They follow from how we make money. When your data isn't the product, there's no reason to collect more of it than we need.

No ads, no feed

We don't place ads in your conversations or build an algorithmic feed around what you do.

We don't sell your data

We don't sell your personal data to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.

Only what's needed

We aim to collect only the information we need to run each service, support you and meet our legal obligations.

You set the controls

Decide who can reach you, what you share and which notifications you get — in settings you can actually find.

Protecting your account

Practical protections, and a few habits that help.

Security is shared work. Here's what we do, and what you can do, to keep your Esender account and purchases safe.

  • Secure checkout. Esender eSIM payments are handled by established payment providers, including card payments and Apple Pay.
  • Updates through official stores. We ship fixes and improvements through the App Store and Google Play — keep automatic updates on.
  • Official sources only. Install Esender from the App Store, Google Play or links on esender.com, esim.esender.com and this site.
  • Lock your phone. A screen lock and your device's built-in security protect every app on it, including Esender.

Data, product by product

What each app needs to work.

A plain-language overview. Our privacy policy has the full detail and takes precedence over this summary.

Esender Chat Live

Your account details and the information needed to deliver messages, calls and media to the people you choose, plus the settings you pick.

Esender eSIM Live

Your email and payment details so we can deliver your plan, plus plan and usage information so you can see your data and get support.

Noteyy Live

No account. Your note is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, then permanently deleted once it's read or expires. Optional passwords are hashed, and note links are kept out of search engines.

Esender VPN Soon

In development. We'll explain what the VPN needs to work, and how that data is handled, before it launches.

Esender Wallet Soon

In development. Payments carry their own requirements, and we'll publish what Wallet needs, and why, before launch.

Your rights & controls

Ask what we hold. Correct it. Delete it.

Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights over your personal data. Wherever you are, you can send us a request.

Access

Ask for a copy of the personal data associated with your Esender account.

Correction

Ask us to fix information that's wrong or out of date.

Deletion

Ask us to delete your account and personal data, except where we must keep records by law.

Staying safe

Esender will never ask for your password or verification codes.

Scammers impersonate companies to take over accounts. If a message, call or email asks for a code or password — even if it looks like it's from us — it isn't.

  • Never share a verification code sent to your phone or email
  • Be wary of urgent messages about "problems" with your account or eSIM
  • Buy eSIM plans only in the Esender eSIM app or at esim.esender.com
  • If a friend asks for money in chat, check with them another way first
  • Not sure? Ask our support team

Responsible disclosure

Found a vulnerability? Tell us.

We welcome reports from security researchers and anyone else who spots a problem in Esender apps, websites or services. Send it through our contact form with the topic Security report.

We aim to acknowledge your report, keep you updated while we investigate, and let you know when it's fixed. Please give us reasonable time to fix the issue before you disclose it publicly.

What to include

  • The app, website or service affected, and its version
  • Clear steps to reproduce the issue
  • What an attacker could do with it
  • Screenshots, logs or a proof of concept, if you have them
  • How we can reach you for follow-up questions

Please don't

  • Access, change or delete other people's data
  • Degrade our services, for example with denial-of-service testing
  • Use social engineering, phishing or physical attacks against our people
