Esender Support

How can we help?

Step-by-step answers for Esender Chat, Esender eSIM and your Esender account. Start typing to filter every article on this page.

Esender Chat

Esender Chat is a mobile app for iPhone and Android. Your conversations live in the app on your phone.

How do I download Esender Chat?

Esender Chat is available for iPhone and Android. Open esender.com on your phone and follow the download link, or search for “Esender Chat” in the App Store or Google Play. Check that the developer shown is Esender before you install. See all download options on the download page.

How do I set up Esender Chat for the first time?

Open the app, create your Esender account (or sign in if you already use Esender eSIM) and follow the on-screen steps to add your name and profile photo. The app asks for permissions such as notifications, microphone and camera when a feature needs them — you can change any of these later in your phone's settings.

Can I use Esender Chat in a web browser?

No. Esender Chat is a mobile app, and your conversations live in the app on your phone, not in the browser. The website at esender.com is where you'll find downloads, updates and help.

How do groups and communities work?

Start a group from your chat list when you want to talk with several people at once — a family, a trip, a team. Everyone in the group sees the same messages, voice notes, photos and files, and you can start voice or video calls from the group. Communities are for bigger circles that need more than one conversation, such as a club or a whole organisation. Group owners can manage who's in the group from the group's details.

I'm not getting message notifications. What should I check?

First check your phone: make sure notifications are allowed for Esender Chat in your phone's settings, and that Focus, Do Not Disturb or silent mode isn't hiding them. Then check the app's own notification settings and make sure the chat isn't muted. On Android, battery-saving settings can stop apps receiving messages in the background — allow Esender Chat to run in the background. Still stuck? Update to the latest version of the app and restart your phone.

How do I control who can see my profile and contact me?

Open the privacy settings in Esender Chat to choose who can see your profile details and your stories. If someone is bothering you, use the options in your conversation with them or on their profile to block or report them. If you can't find the setting you need, contact support and we'll point you to it.

How do I move Esender Chat to a new phone?

Install Esender Chat on your new phone and sign in with the same Esender account. Keep your old phone to hand until you've signed in and checked that your chats look the way you expect. If something is missing, contact support before you reset or give away your old phone.

Esender eSIM

Travel data for 190+ countries. You'll find your plans, usage, reinstall guides and in-app support in the Esender eSIM app.

Does my phone support eSIM?

Most recent iPhones and many recent Android phones support eSIM, but not every model or regional version does, and your phone must be unlocked to use another provider's eSIM. Check the compatibility guide before you buy — making sure your device is compatible is your responsibility.

How do I buy an eSIM plan?

Open the Esender eSIM app or esim.esender.com, choose your destination and pick a plan. Create or sign in to your Esender account, then check out by card or Apple Pay. Your plan appears in the app straight after purchase, ready to install.

When should I install my eSIM?

Install it before you leave, while you're connected to reliable Wi-Fi — you'll need an internet connection to download the eSIM, and you may not have one when you land. After installing, keep the travel line switched off for mobile data until you arrive. Check your plan details in the app for when its validity period starts.

How do I install my eSIM?

Connect to Wi-Fi, open the Esender eSIM app and follow the in-app install guide for your plan. It walks you through scanning the QR code (or adding the eSIM from the app) and labelling the new line so you can tell it apart from your main number — for example, “Travel”.

I've landed. How do I start using my data?

In your phone's mobile or cellular settings, choose the Esender eSIM travel line for mobile data, then turn on data roaming for that eSIM only. Keep your main number switched on so you can still receive calls and texts on it — but leave roaming off on your main line if you want to avoid charges from your home carrier.

My eSIM is installed but I have no data. What can I try?

Check that the travel line is selected for mobile data and that roaming is turned on for that eSIM. Turn Airplane mode on and off, or restart your phone. If you still can't connect, try selecting a network manually in your mobile settings. Still offline? Use the support option in the Esender eSIM app, or connect to Wi-Fi and contact us with your destination and phone model.

How do I check how much data I have left?

Open the Esender eSIM app to see your remaining data and your plan's status. Your phone's own mobile data statistics can also show how much the travel line has used, though figures may differ slightly from the app.

I deleted my eSIM or changed phones. Can I reinstall it?

Open the Esender eSIM app and follow the reinstall guide for your plan. Avoid removing an eSIM from your phone's settings unless you need to, because some eSIMs can't be installed a second time. If the reinstall guide doesn't work for your plan, contact support before buying a new one.

Account & billing

One Esender account works across every Esender app.

Do I need a separate account for each Esender app?

No. One Esender account works across Esender Chat and Esender eSIM, and Esender VPN and Esender Wallet are designed to use the same account when they launch.

How can I pay for an eSIM plan?

You can pay by card or Apple Pay at checkout. The price of each plan is shown in the Esender eSIM app before you buy.

Where can I find my purchases and receipts?

Your plans are listed in the Esender eSIM app. If you need a receipt for expenses, contact support from the email address on your Esender account and tell us which purchase you need.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for eSIM plans are handled under our terms of service. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact support with your order details and we'll look into it.

I can't sign in to my account. What should I do?

Check that you're using the same email address you signed up with and that your phone has a working internet connection. If you still can't get in, contact support from that email address. We'll never ask for your password.

How do I close my Esender account?

Send a request from the email address linked to your account through our contact form. Closing your account affects every Esender app you use, so use up or note any active eSIM plans first. Read how we handle your data in our privacy policy.

Noteyy

Noteyy runs in your browser at noteyy.com — no download and no account.

How do I send a note with Noteyy?

Go to noteyy.com, write your note, choose an expiry and an optional password, then select Create note. Copy the link and send it by email, chat or SMS.

What happens after my note is read?

It's permanently deleted from our servers the moment it's opened. It can't be viewed a second time or recovered — so ask the reader to save anything they need.

What if someone else gets the link?

Anyone with the link can open the note once. Share links privately, and add a password for extra protection — send the password separately, through a different channel.

How long does a note last if nobody opens it?

You choose: until read, 1 hour, 1 day, 7 days or 30 days. After that the note is deleted.

Can I attach files?

Yes — you can add attachments up to 5 MB in total.

Is Noteyy free? Do I need an account?

Noteyy is free and doesn't need an account.

Esender VPN & Wallet

Both apps are in development. Help articles will appear here when they launch.

When will Esender VPN and Esender Wallet be available?

Both are in development and we haven't announced launch dates yet. Join early access on the VPN or Wallet page and we'll email you when there's news.

How much will they cost?

Pricing hasn't been announced. We'll publish it before launch.

Will they use my existing Esender account?

Yes — both are being built to work with the same Esender account you use for Chat and eSIM.

I saw an app calling itself Esender VPN or Esender Wallet. Is it yours?

Not yet — neither app has launched. When they do, we'll announce them here and link to the official downloads. If you find an app pretending to be Esender, please let us know.
